High-Temperature Non-Yellowing Silver Paint CoatingFormulation Suggestions:
For waterborne high-temperature non-yellowing silicone resin coatings, refer to the recommended starting formulation shown in the table below to prepare a single-component baking type silver paint:
Silver Paste Formulation:
Ingredient | Parts by Weight | Function | Supplier |
Deionized Water | 531.6 | ||
Dispersant BYK-190 | 24 | BYK
Anti-Settling Agent BYK-420 (10%) | 18 | BYK
Anti-Settling Agent Bentone LT (2%) | 24 | Hemming
Defoamer Foamex 810 | 2.4 | Tego
Low-Melting Glass Powder (350℃) | 200 | Increases high-temperature adhesion
Mica Powder | 100 | Increases low-temperature adhesion
Aluminum Silver Paste | 200 | High-temperature pigment
High-Purity Zinc Phosphate | 100 | Enhances boiling water and salt spray resistance
Total | 1200 |
- Pigment and filler content = 50%
How to Process:
- Add defoamer, anti-settling agents, and dispersant into deionized water, stir at 1000 rpm for 5 minutes.
- Add mica powder, low-melting glass powder, and zinc phosphate, stir at 2000-3000 rpm for 30 minutes, then reduce the speed to 800 rpm and add aluminum silver paste, continue to disperse for 15 minutes.
High-Temperature Non-Yellowing Silver Paint Coating Formulation:
Ingredient | Parts by Weight |
Silicone Resin Emulsion SiO-719 | 100 |
Silver Paste | 45~60 |
Anti-Settling Agent (Bentone LT, 2%) | 4 |
Flash Rust Inhibitor | 1 |
Defoamer (Tego Foamex 810) | 0.1 |
Thickener (Dow DR-50) | 1.5~2 |

How to Process:
Directly disperse all ingredients until uniform, stir at 1000-1500 r/min for 20-30 minutes, filter using a 200-mesh filter bag during packaging.
Notes:
- It is recommended to control the dry film thickness of a single spray at 35-50 microns. Too thick a layer may crack. Ensure the previous coating is fully cured before recoating.
- During initial use, gradually increase the temperature to complete secondary sintering of the paint film in a high-temperature environment. Do not place unsintered workpieces directly into a high-temperature environment, as this may cause the paint film to crack.
- The heat resistance of pigments, fillers, and additives from different manufacturers varies significantly. The type and amount can directly affect the yellowing resistance of the paint film. Please conduct detailed formulation tests.
The Coating Construction Process:
- The coating will precipitate if left standing for a long time; please stir well before application.
- Substrate surface treatment: degrease and derust. For large-scale construction, it is recommended to perform sandblasting, brushing, and grinding on the substrate surface to increase roughness and enhance adhesion.
- Application: high-pressure spraying, allow to dry at room temperature or accelerate drying by low-temperature baking below 80℃. Do not perform high-temperature baking directly on the wet film to avoid bubbling.
- Baking: It is recommended to fully cure at 200-280℃ for 10-60 minutes, preferably at 220℃ for 30 minutes or 280℃ for 10 minutes.

Precautions:
Due to the different densities of various high-temperature resistant materials in this coating, long-term placement may cause sedimentation. Stir well before use, and close the container lid promptly after use to prevent skinning and thickening of the coating. Clean the spray gun and brush with water immediately after use. To avoid affecting subsequent use due to dried residual paint.
