SIOResin® SIO-9113 Methylhydropolysilazane is a liquid polysilazane with a Si–N backbone, exhibiting excellent thermal stability and reactivity. It contains reactive Si–H groups in its molecular structure, which can transform into SiCN, SiCNO, or silica-based ceramic materials at high temperatures, making it an ideal precursor for Si–C–N ceramics. When reacted with polymers containing olefin structures via hydrosilylation, it significantly increases ceramic yield (>75%), and is widely used in high-performance ceramics and high-temperature composite materials. Price: $120/L

Methyl hydrogeno silazane is a versatile organosilazane compound. It combines reactivity with thermal stability.
Key applications include:
- Silane coupling agent for stronger composite interfaces.
- Precursor conversion to make SiC/Si₃N₄ ceramics for aerospace.
- CVD/ALD precursor depositing low-k films (Dk<3.2) in semiconductors.
- Modifying photoresists and polymers for heat resistance.
- High-adhesion anode additive in lithium batteries.
- Medical slow-release materials, artifact preservation, and 3D printing resin enhancemen

SIOResin® SIO-9113 Methylhydropolysilazane Applications
Resin Modification & Curing Agent
The Si–H and Si–N bonds in SIO-9113 readily react with hydroxyl-containing substances, making it suitable for use as an amine-based curing agent. Manufacturers can also use it to modify phenolic, epoxy, acrylic, and alkyd resins, enhancing their heat resistance, weatherability, and chemical stability.
Ceramics and Rubber Industry
Used as a ceramic precursor for producing high-performance SiCN ceramics. In the rubber industry, it serves as a structural modifier to improve the thermal stability and mechanical strength of silicone and synthetic rubber.

Application Instructions
Standard Process:
Surface Preparation → Sandblasting/Rust Removal → Cleaning & Drying → Coating → Curing
Key Application Notes:
- Surface Treatment: Remove oxide scale, rust, and oil using sandblasting or abrasive tools. Recommended surface preparation grade is Sa2.5 (optimal), with a minimum of St3.
- Cleaning & Drying: Use a specialized degreaser or cleaner to treat the surface, ensuring it is thoroughly dried.
- Product Preparation: This is a single-component liquid. Shake well before use and filter with 120-mesh screen.
- Application Method: Spray application is recommended (nozzle diameter: 0.5–1.0 mm) for better coating uniformity and appearance.
- Curing Conditions: For use below 400°C: Heat cure at 180°C for 30 minutes; For use above 400°C: Heat cure at 250°C for 30 minutes.
Methylhydropolysilazane Storage & Transportation Requirements
- Store in a dry, cool, and ventilated environment away from heat and open flames. Keep containers sealed and avoid direct sunlight.
- Storage temperature: 5–30°C. Shelf life: 6 months.
- Reseal any unused material promptly after opening to avoid moisture contamination.
- Do not reuse leftover mixed coatings. Dispose of according to local regulations.
- Products beyond the shelf life should only be used after passing quality inspection.
