WPU-2699 Heat Resistant Polycarbonate Polyurethane

WPU-2699 is an anionic high temperature heat resistance polyurethane resin based on carbon chains, specifically designed for high-temperature heat transfer printing applications. It offers excellent hardness and gloss, maintaining its shine even at a surface temperature of up to 180 degrees Celsius, as verified by ink temperature resistance tests for cigarette packaging.

WPU-2699 features a unique modified structure, providing excellent ethanol dilution stability and exceptional hot stamping edge definition, making it ideal for small-area transfer applications.

Product Features

  • High gloss finish, maintains shine even at high temperatures (no loss of gloss at 180 degrees Celsius)
  • Excellent PET release properties
  • High film hardness, clean cut edges
  • Outstanding ethanol dilution stability
  • Good compatibility with pigment dispersions

Application Areas

Recommended for water-based aluminum electroplating transfer coatings, water-based cigarette and liquor packaging coatings, water-based garment heat transfer inks, and similar applications.

Note: Solvent resistance can be improved by using a curing agent, but it may affect the release properties. It is recommended to use ethanol or methanol for thickening (which also acts as a defoamer). Avoid using solvents with a boiling point above 100 degrees Celsius to ensure proper drying and maintain heat resistance.
